I work for a nationally known Construction and Engineering group, building power plants all over the country. At each project, we have to find a local machine shop to take care of urgent shop jobs. It may be just a little machining service or re-engineering a part to make another. Tropic Machine is one of the best in the country! Zack and the guys at Tropic are top notch machinists, welders and fabricators. They have a nice shop with most every piece of equipment needed. If not they have contacts for specialty work. Tropic Machine did a great job for us while building the new power plant at Port Everglades. I will put them up against anyone nationwide. They very reactive to our urgent needs and cost efficient. Tropic Machine has continually provided superior workmanship in support the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dania FL. Detachment for the past several years.

I approached Zack a few years ago when I was looking for a machine shop to get a few pieces made. Walking into their shop I could tell right away they did more than just machining and lathing. Overtime, I learned Zack is also an experienced welder. We had a team of people flying in the Redbull Flugtag competition where we had to make our own plane. Zack donated his time and expertise to weld our plane together. We couldn’t have done it without him. There is a great crew of people working at Tropic Machine. They are all hard workers and dedicated to their trade. I would highly recommend their service to anyone looking for quality work.

Elite Marine A/C continues to take on the largest and most challenging refits onboard pleasure yachts. We are continually redesigning and replacing 60, 75 and even 200 ton A/C chiller plants on a monthly basis. The first concern is custom fabrication of a newly designed chiller rack and/or pump stations. Second is in converting metric or ANSI pipe to adapt our systems. Then there’s vessel deadlines. We can give Tropic Machine Products a rough pencil sketch of the fabricated components we need and the finished product always fits perfectly. We’ve been using their team for 5 years now and not once have we needed any rework whatsoever to any fabricated piece. Truly amazing! When fabricating adaptive connections for piping we often look to Zack, the owner, to let us know what would be best. His advice is highly regarded as he understands and knows class requirements. Our adaptive connections are always to spec and class. Invaluable!! Their biggest accolade is that when you give Tropic Machine a date for delivery, you will usually get an email saying “it’s ready” "come pick it up” a day or two before it was actually due. Unbelievable service!!! Most highly recommended by all our Elite Technicians. “

We use Tropic Machine exclusively to repair MAN heat exchanger tanks and other engine components. We have also employed them to fabricate tools and lifting brackets. They are reasonably priced and always do the job correctly. Zack can be counted on to come through when there is an emergency.
